Natural Mosquito Repellent Candle DIY

4th Installment for June's Ditch Petrochemicals Eco-Mission!

An effective way to repel these bugs! I walk through making a a simple and easy mosquito repellent candle made with soy wax and essential oils. "Citronella" is often used to describe these, but that is another name for Lemongrass, and there and many other essential oils that will work!

Essential oils that repel mosquitos that work well in candles: Lemongrass, Cinnamon, Thyme, Clove, Lemon Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, and Cedar.

This is a safe and non-toxic alternative to unhealthy paraffin, and fake "fragrance" candles that are harmful to all living beings who breathe it. Paraffin, and fake citronella are also petrochemicals which were made from petroleum by-products, so If you needed another reason to ditch these common store-bought candles, here ya go!

Wild Atoms' monthly eco-mission to to share awareness about toxic petrochemicals and to help provide healthy and more sustainable alternatives. We help you join this mission, by studying more about this topic, sharing your knowledge, or best yet make the informed decision to refrain from purchasing this crap that is harmful in every way you spin it!

Thank you and remember, just one wild atoms can change everything.
